BODFACH GARDEN OPEN JOINT WITH NGS ON BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY 28th MAY 2018

The 2018 Garden Open will be held on Bank Holiday Monday 28th May jointly with the National Gardens Scheme (NGS) – please see our entry on the NGS website at https://www.ngs.org.uk/?bf-garden=22035

Since our last Garden Open in 2016 we have dredged and re-lined the small lake and discovered a secret well which will be on show in May. As usual the rhododendrons and azaleas will be in full flower. The courtyard and formal gardens are now reaching maturity and the statue garden has been reinvigorated by the recent re-planting of its iris beds. Topiary, specimen trees, shrubbery walks, the orchard and the Victorian dog kennels all provide plenty for the visitor to see and enjoy.

Delicious homemade teas will be served and live music will be provided by Montgomeryshire musicians. There will be charity stalls, an exhibition of art created in the Bodfach gardens by students at Llanfyllin High School and a children’s play area.

The Garden Open will be between 2pm – 5.30pm and entry is £3.50 with children free. The proceeds will be donated to two local charities, the Friends of St. Myllin’s Church and Dolen Ffermio, with the remainder going to the charities supported by the NGS including Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie and Parkinson’s UK.
